Get information about necessary health precautions and prepare to see a health care provider ideally 4-6 weeks before traveling. Several immunizations need a few weeks to become effective in preventing illness.

The Contra Costa Public Health Travel Clinic provides travel vaccines. Malaria prescriptions and medications are not provided through this clinic. Please see your health care provider for malaria medications prior to traveling abroad.
Travel vaccines are available by appointment only (No drop-ins) on Fridays. To schedule an appointment in the travel clinic call 925-313-6488.
Payment is due at time of service. The clinic accepts cash, debit and credit card payment. Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members bring your insurance identification card. No other insurances are accepted. The clinic does not accept personal checks.
