Workforce Education and Training


Contra Costa Behavioral Health Services (CCBHS) strives to uplift strategies to better support a workforce that is diverse in race, ethnicity, culture and language in delivery of behavioral health services to consumers/clients and family members. Workforce, Education and Training (WET); which is a component of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) focuses on workforce education, recruitment and retention strategies to develop qualified individuals working in the public behavioral health system. CCBHS invests in the five areas funded through the MHSA Workforce Education and Training (WET) component:

  • Workforce Staffing Support
  • Training and Technical Assistance
  • Mental Health Career Pathway Programs
  • Residency and Internship Programs
  • Financial Incentive Programs
